Concrete Finisher / Labourer

As part of the Vancal team, you’ll work on a variety of concrete projects — from custom driveways and patios to large-scale commercial slabs. You’ll be involved in every stage of the process: preparing, pouring, leveling, finishing, and ensuring a high-quality final product our clients can rely on.

Location: Calgary, AB
Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with site preparation, formwork, and concrete pouring
  • Perform concrete placing, leveling, finishing, brooming, and edging
  • Operate hand tools and finishing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Follow company safety protocols and site instructions
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on time and with quality

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in concrete placing and finishing is an asset (but not required for labourer positions — training available)
  • Physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual work
  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round in Calgary’s varying weather
  • Reliable transportation to job sites (sites vary daily)
  • Must have legal work authorization in Canada
  • Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn
  • Able to work cooperatively as part of a small, close-knit team
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
